What is Digital TV Switchover?
TV in the UK is going digital. The existing analogue TV signal will be switched off and replaced with stronger digital TV signal. This means that freeview services or digital TV through an aerial will be extended to people who can't get them at present.

What do I need to do?
If you have freeview you will need to re-tune your equipment at each stage of the switchover.
If you haven't got digital TV already you will need to convert your TV equipment. You will need to think about all of your TV equipment and convert every TV that you want to watch. Any TV left unconverted will not work after the switchover.
You may also want to change any video or analogue DVD recorders. They will still play back and record but they won't record one channel while you watch another. All you need to do is get a digital TV recorder like Sky+, Freesat+ or Freeview+ and if you get one with a twin tuner it will convert your Tv to digital at the same time.
You will need to check that your aerial is in good condition and we can do this for you. If you need a new one we will advise you of this but you are of course under no obligation to decide there and then. Take our quote and let us know when you have had time to think about it.
If you live in an area that doesn't currently have freeview coverage we can prepare you for the switchover by supplying digital equipment ready for installation and return when it happens to help you get setup and switched on. |

Do I need to get a new TV?
NO, you don't need to get a new TV as almost any TV con be converted, even your good old black and white one. Most digital boxes connect to a TV via a scart cable and if your TV doesn't have a scart socket you simply ask us for a digital box with a built-in "RF modular". |

Do I need a new aerial?
We can tell you if you need to repair or replace your existing aerial. Simply give us a call and we will arrange a time to come and have a look that is suitable for you. |

I live in rented accommodation or share a communal aerial. What do I do?
If you live in rented accommodation or share an aerial pass our number onto the person who manages your property and ask them to call us for some advice and a free quote. We can all communicate to have any necessary work done at a convenient time to suit all parties involved. |
